Did you know that Tiger Nut milk is a dairy and nut-free alternative to “traditional” and even plant-based nut milk? It is because Tiger Nuts are actually “tubers” and grow similarly to how potatoes and yams do. Need another reason to give Tiger Nut milk a try? Tiger Nut Milk Recipe | Dairy-Free, Allergy-Free
• Yields: 3 cups
• Time: 10 minutes (+24 hours soaking overnight)
• Dairy-free, Vegan, Nut-free, Paleo-friendly, Gluten-free
– 2 cups Avazera organic Tiger Nuts
– 2 cups of water
– ¼ tsp. sea salt
– ¼ tsp. vanilla
1.) First, place your Tiger Nuts in a bowl, add salt and water. Cover and let soak for 24-48 hours in the fridge.
2.) Next, once soaked, drain the Tiger Nuts and rinse well. Place the Tiger Nuts in a blender and add 2 cups of water along with the vanilla. Blend until smooth and creamy.
3.) Then, pour the mixture through a fine mesh strainer to separate the liquid from the pureed Tiger Nuts.
4.) Pour your tiger nut milk into a glass jar and store in the fridge for up to three days!
