Little things add up to make a bigger difference than you think and that definitely includes exercise! Many think that exercise has to be an all-or-nothing plan to deliver great results. However, by sneaking in exercise moves here and there throughout your day you will still enjoy its benefits for your body, mind and soul.

Go ahead. Sneak in some exercise!
1. Use the Rule of Threes
If your schedule does not allow you to have a steady 30 minute cardio session, then break up your workout into three 10 minute segments. These segments could be sprinkled throughout your day (morning, afternoon and evening). However, during these 10 minutes do high-intensity exercises to really get your heart pumping- now is not the time for a leisurely pace!
Stuck in meetings or have a desk job that requires you to sit? Tap your toes, tap your fingers on the desk, play with your pencil, bounce your knees- just fidget! Research has shown that those who refuse to sit still burn ten times as many calories throughout the day when compared those who don’t fidget. So, don’t be shy!
3. Schedule It
Many of us write down important events, meetings and appointments on our calendars- so why not schedule your workouts in? Just like how you wouldn’t miss your friend’s Stacey’s 30th birthday, that super important team-building meeting or that manicure, treat your workouts like all your other appointments that you absolutely can’t miss!
4. Workout while Relaxing
While you are watching TV the last thing you want to do is exercise. So, sneak in a workout (squats, push-ups– whatever tickles your fancy with or without weights) during a commercial break, since you aren’t technically watching your show! During a 30 minute show, you can get in about 9 minutes of exercise and for those hour long programs up to 20 minutes!
5. Park Far Away
When going to the mall, movie theatre, grocery store and so many more other places everyone’s first thought on their mind when they drive? Get me as close as possible to the entrance of that place! So instead of parking super close, try to save those spots for families with young children and the elderly. Park at the other end of the lot and just walk to the store.
6. Just Move
Throughout the day just move and incorporate as many exercise moves as you can. For instance, while waiting for your water to boil for your loose leaf tea, do squats! While waiting for your food to cook in the oven, do jumping jacks! While brushing your teeth, do a wall sit! So whenever you catch your self being still, for anything- do a move or at least fidget!
